Schnorkle
is a 10 year old DSH tabby that we first saw about 9 months ago for kidney
failure. He was diagnosed about one year ago with kidney insufficiency
(failing kidneys) and given some fluids for his guardian to give him under
skin at home (subcutaneous fluid therapy). He had lost weight over the
past 4 months and was not well. Schnorkle has had a total of 6 treatments and is on a regimen of his fluids under the skin, Chinese herbs, and vitamins. He's regained all his weight and goes out regularly in the neighborhood to his regular haunts. Recently he tripped the alarm in a local shop and his guardian had to be called to get him back. The police found him in the shop and called him a "cat burgler"! Here is the progress of his care over these past 9 months. It's now been one year and he is doing very well just with his Chinese herbs, fluids, and vitamins. We have recommended occasional "touch-up" visits as needed. The last interval was 7 months. |
