MR. MOJO

First seen in January of 2005 following a severe episode of Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome in mid-December of 2004. Mr. Mojo could hardly stand up and had a very severe head tilt.

X-rays at the time of the Vestibular Syndrome showed that he also had a lot of bridging spondylosis along his back vertebrae where the bones were getting partially fused together. In addition, these x-rays showed that he had arthritis in the joints along his vertebrae.

His legs were crossing, and his right rear leg was the weakest. His person had to carry him in and was using a towel to prop up his rear quarters.

After the first treatment, his person reported steady improvement, and Mr. Mojo was happier, more playful and could walk into the house.

Following a severe episode of diarrhea and weight loss, we started him on some injections of vitamin B 12 (i.e. aquapuncture) along with the acupuncture on the 4th visit.

Ever since until today, one year later, he’s been receiving acupuncture and aquapuncture as well. His person feels that these aquapuncture treatments really helped turn him around.

In April 2005, he received his 10th acupuncture treatment and 6th aquapuncture treatment and he was noticeably better. Now he was able to walk on his own, although his right rear leg went out occasionally with his turning.

In May he was improved enough that he could get up on his own. In August, he was able to go downstairs on his own, albeit a bit unsteady.

In November, he was doing great, happy, and no more episodes of diarrhea, on his supplements, and still able to get up on his own. His supplements were not very well tolerated so he is now only a minimal amount of them.

There have been some minor episodes of other health problems (urinary tract infections), but for the most part he’s been pretty stable.

In mid-December 2005 due to some weight loss, and lack of regaining his weight, we put him on more Chinese herbs, which he tolerated. He has now begun to regain some of his lost weight.

His head tilt remains very very mild; it has not ever totally resolved, but he can walk, and get around well. He remains in very good spirits, goes regularly on afternoon walks with the neighborhood dogs and a dog-walker, as well as morning walks with his person. His person reports that Mr. Mojo is the leader of the pack on these afternoon walks!

We are pleased to present some recent photos.
